Obukan Judo Dojo has been providing instruction and training in Judo to the Portland Community since 1926. Obukan is traditional Japanese Judo founded by Jigoro Kano. The traditions of Judo are based on the philosophy of continuos improvement not only of the individual but also of the community that one belongs to. Obukan honors these traditions always giving back to community and its members. Obukan Judo Dojo Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation, and is chartered by the United States Judo Federation.
